Self Statement:
"I have advanced post graduate training and over twenty years of experience as a Psychiatric Social Worker, therapist and supervisor. Caring, empathetic and professional treatment is tailored to the individual or couples needs. I believe we all have the resources available to deal with life's challenges but that they have to be tapped at times of need. I truly enjoy working with individuals and couples and believe that becoming a therapist is a calling. I believe this shows in my work. If I cannot help you I can refer you to someone who can.
I have a great deal of training and experience, psycho-dynamically, cognitively, EMDR, couples work, Mindfulness and Meditative practices, etc. The key in choosing any therapist is their ability to listen. I am able to really listen on many levels and all interventions whether reflective or practical are informed by this.
In addition to individual work, I run a "Facing Fears" time limited group which combines meditative practices with group therapy. An excellent group for those suffering from anxiety, depression, and self esteem issues. Couples therapy utilizes techniques I developed that go beyond communication and skills work and deal with the conflict many experience."

While the site and newsletter are certainly meant to highlight the services I provide as a Social Worker and psychotherapist; the wider purpose is to educate and encourage the application of meditation and allied techniques to create a more prosperous life. Prosperous Meditation is an easy yet powerful way to learn to and to maintain a practice of meditation. "Prosperous Meditation" is not a substitute for medical or psychiatric care and is not implied to be. The use of techniques and information provided herein this web-site or newsletter are the responsibility of the reader. One of the philosophies of "Prosperous Meditation" is to help individuals find a method of meditation that works for them. If you are not comfortable with a particular meditation…then don't do it.
